Police question Mohits artist, D'Prince, over Susie Q's Death.

D'Prince was picked up last week Tuesday March 13th by the Nigerian police investigating the murder of socialite and night club owner, Susan Yusuf, popularly known as Susie Q.
The police at the homicide department at Panti, Yaba, picked up the hit maker after Susie's mum made some serious allegations, revealing some of the complaints her daughter made about D'Prince and another female singer before she was killed. I'm sure you all heard about the Club Jonzing collaboration between D'Prince and Susie Q that didn't end well.

JTF kill 9members of Boko Haram, captured two alive in Kano.

It was a bloody encounter Wednesday morning (today) at Tudun Wada town, 100km south of Kano when the Joint Military Taskforce gunned down 9 suspected members of Boko Haram and captured two during a midnight combat operation.

The military acting on intelligence had laid an ambush and cordoned major entry point to the town strategically located within Kano- Jos federal Highways shortly after a report that an unknown gunmen attacked the police station, DPO’s residence and an old generation bank in the town bordering Plateaus state.

Anambra South senatorial: INEC declares Uba winner as Nzeribe kicks

THE Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Dr. Andy Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, winner of the rerun senatorial election conducted on Tuesday in Anambra South senatorial district.

Uba, who won the April 2011 election, but had to vacate the senate following Court of Appeal nullification of his election, polled 42,804 votes to defeat the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Chuma Nzeribe, who scored 40,678 votes.

Two Nigerians Docked For £1.7million Fraud In London

JOBCENTRE staff swindled £1.7million by hijacking identities and making thousands of false benefit claims, a court has heard.
The Nigerian-born gang are accused of ripping off nearly £900,000 in tax credits over five years by submitting claims using names, dates of births and addresses raided from the Department of Work and Pensions' confidential database.

UTME: Albinos To Enjoy 2 Extra Hours In JAMB Examination

 

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, is giving albinos partaking in the 2012 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on March 24 two extra hours as a result of their sight problem.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. 'Dibu Ojerinde, in Abuja, yesterday said that the albinos will henceforth enjoy additional time of two hours in its future examinations.
Ojerinde described the albinos as virtually impaired persons, hence cannot finish their exams at the same pace with other candidates.

This is the tiny bolthole where an Iraqi man was forced to live for an astonishing 22 years after being sentenced to death by Saddam Hussein's brutal regime.

Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ms Oteuh Arumah accused  the Chairman of the House of Rep Committee on Capital Market, Herman Hembe of demanding bribe from her.

Ms Arunma said that the Committee Chairman had demanded a bribe of N39 million from SEC for the ongoing hearing.

She further accused Mr Hembe of demanding N5million from the commission to enable him travel to the Dominican Republic to attend an Emerging market conference without embarking on the journey.

The DG made these accusations in response to the claims by the Committee that she has mismanaged the affairs of the commission and the committee was out to tarnish her integrity.

63-Year-Old British Man Gets 21 Months Jail Term For Conspiring To Bribe Nigerian Politicians And Officials

A British man has been jailed for 21 months by a Texas courtroom for conspiring to channel bribes totalling $180m (£115m) to politicians and officials in an international corruption scandal.
Lawyer Jeffrey Tesler, 63 also received two years' probation and agreed to forfeit more than $148m (£94m) from accounts in 12 Swiss banks and four from Israel. Prosecutors said the money was traceable proceeds from the bribery.

Corrections officer Alan L. O’Neill, is being slapped with bigamy charges. According to charging documents filed Thursday, O’Neill married a woman in 2001, moved out in 2009, changed his name and remarried without divorcing her. The first wife first noticed O’Neill had moved on to another woman when Facebook suggested the friendship connection to wife No. 2 under the “People You May Know” feature.
“Wife No. 1 went to wife No. 2’s page and saw a picture of her and her husband with a wedding cake,” Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist told The Associated Press.
Wife No. 1 then called the defendant’s mother.

Rapper Coolio Arrested And Locked Up In The Same Prison With His 22 Year-old Son

Rapper Coolio has been arrested in Las Vegas and was promptly placed behind bars at the same prison as his son. Law enforcement told TMZ that Coolio was a passenger in a Nissan Versa which was pulled over for a routine traffic violation early Friday morning.

They then ran Coolio's name in the their system and discovered that he had two active bench warrants out for his arrest stemming from multiple traffic violations. Coolio was arrested and taken to Clark County Detention Centre.
