But what you may not know is Davido's father, Dr Deji Adeleke, is so interested in his son's music career that he will do whatever it takes to ensure the popstar honours his contract obligation with show promoters/organizers.

The attack occurred in Katsina state, which shares a border with Niger, where al-Qaeda’s North African wing is known to operate. The engineer kidnapped on Thursday worked for a French company on a wind power project in the town of Rimi, about 25km (15 miles) from Katsina city....continue reading
According to the Mayan Calender, the world is supposed to end today, the 21st of December 2012. Over the past two years, this prediction has caused a lot of trepidation and anxiety all over the world with millions of people in a state of panic. The Gullible among us totally believe that the world will end today. I have read reports of most people all over the world, selling their properties and carrying out vigils to await the Mayan Apocalypse. In Nigeria, many people would come out in a show of needless bravado to shout that they don't believe the world will end today but in their hearts, they quake with fear and wonder if they hadn't spoken out of turn, especially if it happens that the world really ends today!.....continue reading
You want to get married. It’s taken a while to admit it. Saying it out loud — even in your mind — feels kind of desperate, kind of un-feminist, kind of definitely not you, or at least not any you that you recognize. Because you’re hardly like those girls on TLC saying yes to the dress and you would never compete for a man like those poor actress-wannabes on The Bachelor.
You've never dream't of an aqua-blue ring box.
Then, something happened. Another birthday, maybe. A breakup. Your brother’s wedding. His wife-elect asked you to be a bridesmaid, and suddenly there you were, wondering how in hell you came to be 36-years-old, walking down the aisle wearing something halfway decent from J. Crew that you could totally re-purpose with a cute pair of boots and a jean jacket. You started to hate the bride — she was so effing happy – and for the first time ever you began to have feelings about the fact that you’re not married. You never really cared that much before. But suddenly (it was so sudden) you found yourself wondering… Deep, deep breath… Why you’re not married.
A Nigerian man was grabbed by police at Newark Airport on Saturday after police were tipped off that he planned to 'blow up' a Delta Airlines flight to Paris. Doctors in Philadelphia (United States) said they have saved a seven-year-old girl who was close to dying from leukemia with a pioneering use of an unlikely ally: a modified form of the HIV virus.
After fighting her disease with chemotherapy for almost two years and suffering two relapses, the young girl “faced grim prospects,” doctors at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia said.
So in February this year they agreed to take her on in an experimental program that fought fire with fire.
Helped by a genetically altered HIV virus — stripped of its devastating properties that cause AIDS — doctors turned the girl’s own immune cells into a superior force able to rout the “aggressive” leukemia.....continue reading

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), which has targeted the brand several times before, says the photo “inappropriately sexualized a model who appeared to be a child and was therefore irresponsible.”
The model’s demure expression in the ad could be interpreted as “having sexual undertones and a voyeuristic quality,” it added.....continue reading

Police arrested a 36-year-old local man who stabbed 22 children, at least two of them seriously, and one adult at the gate of a Henan grade school in central China, BBC reports.
The Associated Press news agency quotes a police officer as saying that this latest attack happened as pupils were arriving for classes. A county hospital administrator reportedly said that the man first attacked an elderly woman, then the children, before being overpowered by security guards.
Two of the injured pupils have been transferred to better-equipped hospitals outside the county.
In recent years, knife attacks have broken out, resulting in increased security in China’s schools. Many of the attackers have been mentally disturbed men, suggesting that the country’s rapid social changes and lack of a modernized hospital system may be contributing to a rising number of mental illness cases.
