A couple of hours ago, the death of an individual known as Alhaji Gay started trending on Twitter.

If you don't know this man then you and your circle are truly clean..I did not know who he was but twitter helped out big time.

Alhaji Gay was murdered on July 19 at Agbado Ijaiye, in Lagos. This was not the first attempt on his life.

Alhaji Gay was an informant of the EFCC on Internet Fraud. However, instead of apprehending the Yahoo Boys and hand them over to the relevant authorities, he captures them and demands ransom.
According to stories, if the Yahoo boy could not pay for his 'bail', Alhaji Gay would forcefully have sex with the yahoo boy and thats how he got the nickname Alhaji Gay.

However, on different accounts, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has denied that he was working on behalf of the anti-corruption body.

On the case of his death, Alhaji Gay was reportedly strangled to death by unknown person(s). Also, yahoo boys are said to be in joyous mood as they are glad he’s gone for good.

Posing as an EFCC officer, Alhaji Gay has extolled a lot from cyber hustlers (yahoo boys) in the name of avoiding arrest.
‘This man is thief….He came for me nd he did not see but he arrested my friends nd he demand for 2 millions naira nd we paid him 800,000 naira nd still he went to ghana to arrest my friends,,,
